FUNCTIONAL BUSINESS OBJECTIVEs (FBOs):

  • The Area Retail Operations Manager is responsible for leading all in-store & affiliate channel sales for a specific geographic area within its brands of focus. Area Retail Operations Manager drives the performance of the appointed region by leading its team in delivering an outstanding customer experience and achieving all targets in relation to sales, profitability and operational compliance.
  • Achieving sales targets by aligning incentives, monitoring performance and allocating resources;
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure fundamentals (price competitiveness and stock) are met;
  • Overseeing recruitment and developing new sales channels and managing budget for the same;
  • Ensuring top CX is delivered by delivering constant sales and customer management training.

REPORTS TO: Regional Retail Operations Manager

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & CRITICAL DRIVERS:

A. 50% - Driving Sales & Monitoring Budget

  • Sales Planning: operationalize Merchandising objectives & programs into in-store activities, propose incentive alignment, monitor performance and allocate resources. Keep close monitoring of sales forecast.
  • Sales Targets: roll out incentives and leads the team to achieve monthly targets through coaching and support. Keep the team motivated to meet growing targets MoM.
  • New Sales Channels: constantly search for new sales channels through which to engage with existing and potential customers and lead testing and development efforts for the same.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Sales Target: 90% achievement or higher
  • Conversion Rate (visitors > customer): 5% or higher
  • Budget: costs at 100% or below budget
  •  New Sales Channels: test 1 new channel every quarter

B. 30% - Building Team & Culture

  • Recruitment: Implement target operating model for area under management, identify pressing gaps and recruit ‘A Players’ who are capable of adding further to the team.
  • Training & Development: Design, create and oversee comprehensive Sales and Customer Management training programs across the sales department. Monitor and enforce the 26 week on boarding plan.
  • Succession Planning: Ensure an effective succession plan is in place to accommodate the growth of the team. Work with the management team to keep the succession plans current.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Staff retention: 95% staff maintained after first 6 months
  • Training: ensure 8h training / month
  • Recruiting: ensures 80% of organization is within average production levels

C. 20% - Generating Business Insights & Perfecting the System

  • Monitor fundamentals: ensure stock levels across key stores and for key products is maintained, monitor competition and identify pricing and promotional gaps against our stores.
  • Gather customer insights: understand patterns and reasons of purchase, lead feedback gathering in terms of brand promise, customer relationship and product quality.
  • Merchandising coordination: communicate with Merch to discuss, feedback and request stock allocation across key stores in the area to enable sales. Provide feedback on promotion performance, visual merchandising effectiveness, competition activities as well as product quality and customer insights.
  • Marketing coordination: Work with Visual Merchandising to provide input and structure the roll out of sales promotions, campaigns and customer engagement initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Inventory Turnover: 100% target or higher
  • Campaigns: 100% roll out on time

Yêu Cầu Công Việc

  • University Degree from top school, preferably in a quantitative field (e.g. Business, Marketing).
  • Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in retail sales, merchandising or fashion / sports industry.
  • Quantitative, with proven ability to create insights and actions from comprehensive datasets.
  • Familiarity with sports, fashion or clothing trends. Previous experience in the field is a plus.
  • Proven experience planning, cross-department projects and hands on implementation.
  • Passionate about developing and mentoring a team of 10 or more.
  • Results driven character. Process focused with a tireless focus on output quality.
  • Demonstrated success in a directly relevant role.
