  • Job Title: Deputy Manager​
  • Division: Finance and Planning, Accounting Section
  • Reporting To: Manager


  • Control accounting functions include the controls to all accounting works and accounting staff.
  • Control financial statement and consolidation package.
  • Control internal controls at the process level.
  • Training and develop accounting team.
  • Develop accounting system.


1. Manage accounting function

  • Manage day to day works of accounting staff including job assignment, job description, job plan, job review and staff training.
  • Lead accounting staff to manage the timely work of monthly, quarterly, yearly closing and other ad hoc reports required from accounting.
  • Manage accounting function under both International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) & Vietnamese Accounting Standards (VAS).
  • Maintain chart of accounts to meet regulation and management requirements.
  • Develop and maintain accounting procedures

2. Develop projects of accounting system enhancement:

  • Develop and maintain the IT system for accounting
  • Initialize and develop accounting projects to enhance the effectiveness of accounting system and functions.

3. Prepare financial statements:

  • Prepare consolidation package under IFRS
  • Prepare Self asset assessment report
  • Prepare Annual financial statements under VAS.

4. Control accounting booking:

  • Overseeing the sufficient of financial data before closing period
  • Checking sub-ledger and ledger before closing period.
  • Transferring data to Group book
  • Recording adjustment entries in Group book
  • Opening new accounting period

5. Control General Ledger and Trial Balance

  • Verifying General Ledger entries.
  • Verifying sub-ledger and General ledger reconciliation
  • Checking Trial Balance

6. Control payments to brokers/Agents

  • Verify Statement of accounts with brokers
  • Confirm the balance with the Brokers/ Agents
  • Verify all payments to brokers/Agents

7. Control Coinsurance accounts

  • Verify Coinsurance payments
  • Verify the Statement of accounts with the co insurers
  • Confirm the balance with the Co-insurers
  • Approve the offset transactions with the Co-insurers
  • Control premium collection with Co-insurers

8. Control claims settling agent:

  • Verify & validate claims settling agent transactions

9. Verify Account Payable (AP), premium refund and Receipts

  • Checking and validating Account Payable invoice and premium refund
  • Verifying receipts and debtor reconcile in the core system

10. Control Agent accounts

  • Review and maintain Agent accounts

11. Manage fixed assets

  • Control fixed asset accounts

12. Other works

  • Other works as assigned by managers.


  • Company’s internal Division/Department

  • Bankers, Tax Department


  • As authorised by Manager.


  • Timely and accurately validate Account Payable, receipts, refund, and payments
  • Well controls co-insurance accounts, brokers and Agent payments
  • Well control Fixed assets
  • Well control assigned account balances

Yêu Cầu Công Việc


  • University Graduation in accounting or finance fields
  • International qualification in accounting
  • English fluency


  • Well understand both VAS and IFRS
  • Well understand the local regulations in  accounting, tax managements
  • Well understand insurance business practice is preferable
  • Good communication skills


  • At least 10 year experience in Accounting fields
  • At least 5 year experience as general accountant
  • Experience in insurance is an advantage but not a must
