Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Vietnam is recruiting on behalf of a leading global events company. Due to continued expansion they are looking to open their Vietnam office. As business growth continues, our client is seeking an experienced Operations Director of the highest professional standing, ideally with a background in events or hospitality, for the job of Operations Director. The job is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Job summary

The Operation Director will undertake a “hands on” role in establishing, directing and implementing a launch and growth strategy for the long-term goals of the new Vietnamese Company. The role requires a strong leader who supports the business and technology goals through creative thinking, knowledge and experience of the events/ticketing business and experience of starting a company. This role will implement operational excellence and maximise client satisfaction.

Key job responsibilities include:

· Be in control of all resources, planning, quality output and efficiency of all areas of the contracts; including the recruitment, motivation and management of staff, and ensuring the achievement of project objectives and deadlines, on time and on budget

· Be responsible for the delivery of new and existing contracts across the Vietnam operation.

· Providing leadership and direction to the operational team, including motivating, growing and supporting the Event Directors to manage their teams effectively and ensure quality and client satisfaction are achieved across all aspects of projects

· Responsibility for resolving client escalation issues, and providing line management responsibility for clients

· Key contact point for clients, ensuring there is clear, accurate and commercial account management

Yêu Cầu Công Việc

· Degree

· Significant senior level background of managing operations in the events or hospitality (ideally in an online web-based environment)

· A track record of the successful delivery of complex projects, managing people, and financial and strategic control

· Company set-up experience in Vietnam

· Good understanding of financial reporting

· An influential leader and a strong communicator, giving clear direction and coaching to your team

· Experience in continuous improvement techniques

· The ability to add value and provide leadership and expertise across the new business from day one

· Skilled in the management of quality systems for sales teams in a web based environment

· Event promotion and marketing experience. Contacts and knowledge of the key players in the Vietnam event industry would be a plus

· Must be fluent in Vietnamese and English
