Lead and manage all operations functions supporting our manufacturing site, production control, and manufacturing engineering.
Be responsible for general supervision of all phases of plant operations including: production, engineering, quality control, maintenance, receiving, and shipping.
Be responsible for annual budget planning and execution. The position will work closely with the production team to increase productivity and profitability within the manufacturing operation of Metkraft LTD.
Review established production schedules for all manufacturing departments to insure established inventory levels are met while operating at the highest efficiency possible.
Monitor operation expenses and research ways to reduce costs while maintaining product quality.
Prioritize production schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply. Works closely with all support organizations (Materials, Engineering, Quality, customer service…etc) to resolve customer issues, mitigate delivery and schedule problems. Satisfy customer needs and requirements.
Leads and/or coordinates new product introduction into manufacturing,. Review and oversee manufacturing line design for optimal efficiency.
Manages all day-to-day manufacturing related activities. Set priorities, capacity planning, level loading strategies, and headcount assessments.
Develops schedules and manpower requirements for assigned areas. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Develop and maintain training / certification programs for manufacturing team members.
Remove waste and constraints from the production process to improve efficiencies and enhance productivity.
Communicate with technical department, sales and production engineering departments to develop new product strategies.
Responsible for overall manufacturing performance in terms of on-time delivery, quality, and cost (cycle time and overtime). Responsible for initiating and implementing Manufacturing Process Capability and Continues quality improvement
Plans and administers procedures and budgets. Makes budgetary recommendations and at higher levels, controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labour. Develop operations-related plans, budgets, policies and procedures.
Manages all facilities and EHS (Environmental Health and Safety) issues for the site as required.
Work closely with the Environmental Health and Safety Department, Deputy Factory Managers (Engineering & Production) to ensure all members of the manufacturing team are aware of safety policies to provide a safe workplace for our employees.
Drives for continuous culture improvement throughout entire site.
Maintains positive relationships with key customer contacts through regular meetings and presentations.
Encourage and promote operating in a continuous improvement environment.
Develop and execute the plant manufacturing budgets.
Analyze workforce requirements.

Requires Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering discipline/equivalent; MBA preferred; APICS/CPIM certification preferred
Strong business and financial acumen; ability to create and support cross-functional and customer synergies and linkages.
Previous experience/best practices implementing and using continuous improvement/lean tools such as; Six Sigma, 5-S, Lean Manufacturing, Transactional Lean, etc. to drive improvement.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills; ability to work effectively with groups across the
company customer sites; working knowledge of MRP/ERP applications
Have experience in Heat treatment and metal industry, have experience in knives is preferred.
Proven track record in leading a cross-functional organization to exceed profit and operations goals
Strong management, leadership and organizational skills
Working knowledge of quick-turn, engineer-to-order environment
10+ years operations experience in high-technology manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to motivate people, assess and develop employee skills.
Demonstrated understanding of the principles and applications associated with manufacturing operations, maintenance and engineering.
Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to balance production and maintenance needs.
Excellent interpersonal communication and listening ability.
