Company Profile:

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Vietnam is recruiting on behalf of well-known multinational financial technology (fintech) company. Our highly respected and innovative client is seeking an executive with experience working in a fast-growing, dynamic and rapidly evolving industry, including at least 5 years in Vietnam, for the job of Country Manager. The job is based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

Job Summary:

This is an exciting job opportunity for a motivated and ambitious executive. The Country Manager will be responsible for overall strategies of expanding and promoting the partnership and investment into the company’s business in Vietnam.

Job Responsibilities:

• Fostering trusted advisor relationships with the shareholders and top management of potential partners in terms of understanding their strategies, becoming a sparring partner/consultant for key strategic decisions and being an ambassador who promotes the company’s vision and mission

• Working closely with the partners’ top management executives to define strategic and operational initiatives by which the company can scale up and then bring to bear resources in the company’s ecosystem to promote strategic battles together.

• Liaising with the company and related internal teams to align strategy and execution, form co-working teams when necessary. Aligning Board of Joint Venture with the company Steering Committee.

• Setting up a working mechanism that can track progress, proactively escalate issues, devise swift and decisive resolutions when necessary.

• Continuously revisit and collectively re-define the enablement model with investment team, Country Managers in other markets and Headquarter.

Job Requirement

• Minimum 5 years in a senior management role preferably at the country level

• Relevant roles include Chief of Operations, Technology, IT, Product/Engineering, Business Development, Partnerships/ Alliances, Delivery etc.

• Good communication in Vietnamese, Mandarin and English is top priority. A potential Mandarin speaking expatriate who has solid experience in Vietnam market will also be considered for the role.

Industry experience

• Experience working in a fast-growing, dynamic and rapidly evolving industry e.g., technology (including hardware, software, IT services), telco infrastructure/operator, e-commerce, social media, internet, digital media.  Prior experience in digital payment will be advantageous.

• At least 5 years of living and working in Vietnam.
