o Work in the Research and Development team providing expertise from a Design to Cost (DtC) for the design and manufacturing of power supplier, charger products.
o Review Build of Materials (BOM) cost and analyze current engineering design to get cost reduction ideas and proposed new DtC initiatives.
o Participate in the identification of design ideas related to DtC.
o Review manufacturing processes, process capabilities, tooling philosophy and provides recommendations as needed.
o Support DtC action plan, coordinate its implementation and draw conclusions.
o Support recommendation to management on strategies to achieve cost reduction targets.
o Support Alternative Components Approval (ACA) requested by Purchasing team.
o Support Documentation team in the preparation of Product Change Request (PCR).
o Work with Purchasing team/Customers/ Suppliers to replace high quality components with low cost.
o Testing and evaluation to ensure the product meets the specifications after changing new components.
o Bachelor Degree in Electrical/Electronic.
o Minimum 2-5 years of relevant work experience with analog and digital circuit development including design, debugging and validation.
o Good understanding of design, manufacturing and quality processes used in power supplier, charger products.
o Knowledge of different topologies and related waveforms.
o Having prior experience in DtC activities or other cost reduction program optimization activity is a plus.
o Knowledge of thermal management, magnent components design, EMC and safety requirements.
o Experience in using CAD software for schematic capture and PCB layout, Pulsonix is a plus.
o Familiar with the use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and power analyzers.
o Experience with Design to Cost, Design for Manufacturing, Design to Reliability.
o Good communication skills in English (written and verbal)
o Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Applications.
o Proficient in soldering and electronics troubleshooting.
