Job Description

  1. Reports to: Chief Financial Officer
  2. Place of work: Head office (HCM City). Address: 72, Nguyen Co Thach, An Loi Dong Ward, District 2, Ho Chi Minh City
  • Evaluate feasibility and provide analysis to support the Board of Management and the Board of Directors to make new investment decisions.
  • Management & control of the Group's investments including investments:

- Loc Troi Group's representative instructs budget planning to support the establishment of KPI system to assess business performance for Subsidiaries, Associated Companies,

- Support to establish business strategies for subsidiaries and associated companies

- Analyzing and evaluating to support CFO, CEO to evaluate and approve budget plans and business strategies of subsidiaries and associated companies

- Monitoring investment effectiveness of investments, proposing solutions to improve investment efficiency, risk warning and propose solutions for CFOs and CEOs

- Designing all kinds of reports, coordinating with the Finance Department and the Accounting Department to make the Executive Board understand the operating situation of subsidiaries, associates and investments.

- Analyzing and proposing capital withdrawal strategies for inefficient investments

4.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

4.1 Develop investment management principles and tools:

• Building a portfolio management principle, maintaining a portfolio balance
• Develop processes, regulations and criteria for approving and managing investments;
• Develop a reporting mechanism and criteria for assessing investment efficiency (Investment performance) for outside investments;
• Provide a mechanism to coordinate the management of investment representatives in subsidiaries / affiliates.

4.2. Appraise investment proposals:
• Conduct an assessment of investment proposals based on specified criteria (market assessment, opportunity, risk, rate of return, etc.);
• Surveying, analyzing and reporting financial and non-financial information related to potential investors;
• Provide comments on investments for the Group from research & evaluations;
• Assist in making recommendations for support decision-making, ensuring investments in line with the Group's strategic direction.
• Report and present survey information to the CFO.

4.3 Track and manage investments
• Analysis of portfolio trends, identify related risks;
• Monitor & analyze investment efficiency in subsidiaries / affiliates (financial situation, compliance, quality of financial reports, operational models, structures, and indicators KPIs available) relate to,…);
• Monitoring investment efficiency compared to the proposed business plan;
• Clarify the causes of the differences between actual and business plans and provide solutions;
• Assist in analyzing and making recommendations when the representative makes decisions / voting opinions at the affiliated company / company;
• Report and present the monitoring and evaluation results to the CFO.

4.4 Business partner:
• Provide guidance for the Department / Division / Sector to conduct qualitative & quantitative analysis related to investment proposals;
• Guide and explain support to the Board / Division / Industry during the investment implementation process;
• Provide tools and guidelines for capital representatives at subsidiaries / affiliates to perform analyzes and reports;
• Assisting in the drafting of investment terms in the process of negotiating / signing investment contracts;
• Conduct analysis and evaluation reports for review, review and management of extraordinary investments when ad-hoc basis;
• Coordinate with Investor Relations Department to provide information and reports for investor relations management.

Job Requirement

1. Essential

- Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of the alternative finance market

- Extensive existing personal networks of key early stage investors

- Experience in structuring equity and debt financing deals

- Demonstrable experience in both the demand and supply of business finance and investment

- Skilled influencer and persuader who challenges in an objective way; strong negotiation skills and ability to say ’no’ diplomatically where required

- Excellent financial modelling skills (Advanced spreadsheet and financial modelling skills)

- In-depth knowledge of finance, macroeconomics, securities trading, securities investment and M&A;

- A practical approach to problem-solving, and the ability to make clear and concise decisions

- Practical and technical knowledge of legal and regulatory issues affecting commercial contracts

- Effective relationship management skills and demonstrated credibility with investment teams

- Excellent computer literacy skills, including advanced MS Excel skills, MS Word and MS Outlook

- Ability and willingness to travel.

- More than 5 years of experience in management positions in finance or investment.

- Advanced degree in Accounting, Finance.

- CFA or similar preferred

2. Desirable:

- Ability to assess and evaluate real estate investments

- Working knowledge of relevant foundations and grant-­‐making organisations that are relevant to the enterprise sector

- Knowledge of emerging economies, real estate and infrastructure markets, and asset classes

- Experience working within general banking or financial services

- Ability to support business development and client retention efforts
