Job Description

HR & Admin Specialist in carrying out the daily activities of the HR Department including recruitment, total compensation, and employee relations. Execute against objectives outlined in the HR Department and delivers HR services that meet or exceed the needs of employees and enable business success.

1. Recruitment:

  • Ensures open positions are advertised in appropriate venues to attract a diverse candidate pool.
  • Networks with local organization and peers to source candidates for current or future openings.
  • Ensures interviews are conducted according to recommended guidelines, consistent screening criteria is used, and only job-related questions are asked.
  • Oversees the selection and offer processes for employee to ensure proper procedures are followed.
  • Partners with department managers to recruit management positions, makes hiring decisions and negotiates job offers in accordance with company policy.

2. Compensation:

  • Ensures new hires and eligible associates enroll in benefit plans and communicates changes to the benefit plans in a timely manner, coordinates the annual enrollment process.
  • Set up scheme of various types of benefits available and eligibility requirements. Trains team to trouble shoot benefit problems associates may encounter and assists employees in resolving benefits related issues.
  • Provide an overview of employee benefits to the management team enabling them to educate their employee and answer routine questions.
  • Administers salary scale and ensures compliance; conducts annual salary survey to ensure pays are competitive in the market; provides
  • recommendations for adjustments to Human Resources Manager.
  • Oversees payroll administration.

3. Associate Relations:

  • Assists HR Manager/Director in communicates company rules and regulations, the progressive discipline policy.
  • Assists in identifying key drivers of employee satisfaction and supports managers in addressing issues with written plans and actions. Monitors and communicates progress against the plans to both management and associates.
  • Conducts exit interviews on all voluntary separations tracks and analyzes the results to identify trends and issues; shares information with HR Manager.

4. HR Department:

  • Establishes and maintains open, collaborative relationships with employees
  • Actively solicits employees’ feedback, utilizes an “open door” policy, and works with Human Resources Manager to identify and address employees’ problems or concerns. Ensures employees are treated fairly and equitably.
  • Constantly strives to improve employee retention. Brings issues to the attention of the Human Resources Manager as necessary.
  • Celebrates successes and publicly recognizes the contributions of team members.

5. Administration:

  • Ensures associate files contain required paperwork (e.g., employment application, reference checks, tax forms, Information Protection Agreement, job description), are properly maintained, and secured.
  • Ensures terminated associate files are retained for the required length of time.
  • Ensures performance evaluations and merit increase paperwork are maintained in associate files.
  • Monitor and ensure to provide good admin service to all of the internal customers.

6. Other:

  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Job Requirement

Education / Training Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Human Resource Management Certification Preferred.

Experience:

  • At least 5 years working experience in human resources area in which 3 years in the position of supervisor.

  • Effective decision making skills.
  • Strong knowledge of labor law.
  • Knowledge of overall medical devices.
