Job Description

Purpose of Position

  • The HR business partner (HRBP) is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units.
  • The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues.
  • The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization.
  • The position acts as change leader to drive organization effectiveness.


Business Partnering:

  • Consults with line management and provide HR guidance, solutions and strategic consultancy.
  • Supports the business leaders in developing and delivering people initiatives.
  • Works closely with business to drive performance management to align with company policy and guidelines.
  • Actively engage with workers at all levels in the BU to understand the nature of works in order to capture any issues and provide better supports.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.

Recruitment & Training:

  • Coordinate with recruitment team in recruitment activities to ensure the selection of qualified candidates by being actively involved in recruitment process, preparing job profile, sourcing and selection process until new hire is properly inducted into the organization.
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.
  • Work closely with training team to provide training agenda for business. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • Follow to ensure First Training Checklist (FTCL) of new hires are fully completed for contract labor sign off.

Procedure and Process:

  • Participate in improving working process by recommending new ideas and practices, if applicable.
  • Participate in related projects to change, update, improve projects.
  • Other employment matters:
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues, conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • In-charge of onboarding for new hires (probation assessment, follow up labor contract, first training checklist completion) and promotions, transfers, terminations for existing employees.
  • Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters, if required.
  • Carry out other assigned tasks by Line Manager.

Job Requirement

Education & Qualification

  • University graduate at least.

Working Experience

  • 3-5 years of working experience in a related role of HR General, Recruitment at Manufacturing / Operation environment
