Proactively and cost effectively manage processes, handling/distribution operations, large projects and programs in line with Network and Regional Standards, throughout the country, and to continuously challenge the existing shipment movement operations and processes with a view to improve operating and service performance and promote cost effectiveness and increased profitability.
Ensure cost effective selection of facilities, equipment & layouts.
Identify, evaluate & implement improvements in equipment & processes and handling/distribution operations.
Identify, develop and maintain work to understand strategic business challenges with internal customers and business partners.
Focus is on delivering Customer Satisfaction by leveraging the organization’s network and ensuring all stakeholders are engaged.
Degree in either Mechanical/Industrial/Transportation/Production/ Manufacturing/Civil Engineering with exposure to electrical/electronics equipment
5 – 7 years experience in one of the below fields and/or material handling systems.
Experience in areas of material handling equipment, productivity improvement, work measurement, work methods and standards, financial analysis
Experience in the express package, transportation or material handling industries would be beneficial
Experience in areas of project & program management.
Experience in Vendor availability & negotiations
Analyzes and resolves complex cross-functional issues.
Communication skills (English), spoken and written
Software skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
Software skills (Visio, AutoCAD)
Prior experience in contract negotiations and staff management.
Strong analytical skills.
