Work in general consists of planning, programming and coordination of various small to large projects. Projects could include building design and construction projects from conception through final inspection, computerized maintenance management systems, asbestos document coordination and drawing control systems, etc. Work requires establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with a wide variety of institutional and professional personnel. Assists or leads the coordination of general project design including documenting, estimating, consultant selection, review and liaison with internal and external partners
Compiles and reports technical information; schedules and assists with design development, meetings, and execution budget development and/or status and project progression.
Attends project status meeting and is prepared to report design, construction and budget status plus client expectations and needs.
Provides estimating assistance.
Responds to requests and complaints using individual judgement based on experience and knowledge or referring to supervisor when necessary.
Interacts with outside consultants in terms of negotiation of contracts, scope, guidance and coordination with the appropriate management and clients.
Organize basic project requirements, identify necessary resource needs, develop implementation schedule, implement and manage on-going needs to ensure long term project and system success.
Manage appropriate staff (full-time, contract, interns, etc.) as necessary to ensure successful work management of Department systems and projects
Holds a Diploma/Bachelor’s degree
