Job Description

  • Project’s objectives: Pricing management sets to help businesses determine and set competitive prices to gain market share and achieve revenue goals. This is a highly analytical role that requires Market Assess (MA) team to consider data from multiple sources and develop complex pricing models that reflect margins for promotional and seasonal pricing based on competitor, market, and customer data.
  • Scope: Vietnam
  • Project’s timeline: 6 months (June to December 2019)

1, Summary:

MA Intern will collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop a tool that supports forecast, propose strategic prices for specific products to drive sales and ensure that company remain competitive.

  • Reporting directly to: Market Assess & Business Development Director.
  • High frequency of interaction: Sales, Marketing, Market Assess
  • Working location: Melinh Point Tower, 02 Ngo Duc Ke, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1, Ho Chi Minh

2, Core job responsibilities:

  • Develop Pricing Tools that are used throughout the company to more quickly respond to changing market needs or trends. These tools can include dynamic pricing that allows the company to quickly adjust prices to enhance sales volume and conversion rates, as well as tools that streamline the analysis process and provide more immediate information about competitor prices and promotions.
  • Analyzing Pricing Data to help assessing data from a variety of sources and using it to derive insights into pricing strategies and market trends. Using a number of quantitative and qualitative methods to analyze competitor pricing, assess market share and margins, and track customer engagement in order to gain a complete picture of effective pricing strategies for company’s offerings.
  • Develop Forecasts and Models: play an important role in helping company forecast revenue and market share information. Using a variety of statistical modeling methods to prepare reports that show the potential impact of various pricing strategies, including their effect on margins and costs and how they will impact profitability and sales volume. These forecasts may also include information related to the market as a whole
  • Analyze Industry Trends: Analyze & discover a trend that has potential to improve sales volume or profitability or recommend pricing strategies that align closely with these trends.
  • Present Findings to Key Decision-Makers by presenting key findings to MA team through weekly or monthly meetings, preparing both written reports and visual presentations to share these key findings.

Job Requirement

  • Final year students or University’s bachelor’s in software development, mathematics, statistics, economics, marketing, finance, or business administration

Core Skill Requirement

  • Good software development, building tool
  • Good Analytical thinking
  • Excellent mathematical skills to derive insights from multiple data sources
  • Proficient skills in MS Office (exel, assess)
  • English fluency
