Job Description

General purpose of the position: To implement task assigned from manager on Occupational Health – Safety, throughout all hospital activities and to ensure that statutory requirements are being upheld

Key duties and responsibilities:

  • To coordinate, implement, supervise and improve the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) policy and directives within the hospital to ensure the existing safe and environmentally compliant working conditions for all employees, patients, visitors and contractors
  • Monitoring the various safety features like waste management. hazardous materials management, fire safety in the hospital
  • Monitoring OHS/HSE management program
  • To promote good health, safety and environmental practices throughout all hospital activities and to ensure that statutory requirements are being upheld throughout the organization
  • To devise, develop and monitor effective Risk Assessment management strategies and make recommendations on the implementation of these strategies on occupation and facility safety.
  • To provide, or where necessary source, training for staff in relation to Health, Safety and Environment policies, practice and procedures.
  • To consult with line managers and give appropriate advice on formulating best-practice policies and procedures.
  • Coordinated and establish relationship with governmental and all external and internal stake holders on OHS/HSE inspection
  • Prepare and submit all relevant reports to the government authorities related to OHS/HSE
  • Orient sustainable development towards making it a green hospital.
  • Attending needful training and seminar course assigned by the hospital.
  • Attending various Internal committee meetings and constribute as needed asassigned by the hospital.

Job Requirement


  • Bachelor’s or engineer degree on Occupational health and safety, Environment, or a related field required.
  • Have certificate on occupational safety and health (group 2 according to Decree No. 44/2016 / ND / CP).


  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience working, minimum 2 years experience within the Occupational health and safety function required.

Skills and knowledge:

  • Computation skill on Internet Application, Microsoft office Application
  • Interpersonal and teamwork skills with demonstrated abilities to both work collaboratively and to influence those with whom no formal hierarchical relationship.
  • Knowledge of the laws of Environmental, Occupational health and safety laws of the country.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in written form
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships.
  • Confidential commitment with the hospital.
  • Capability to adopt to the contrasting nature of long desk work and extensive field visits inside the hospital to various departments
  • Using excellent customer skills, establishes and maintains harmonious relationships with other employees, officials, outside organizations, and representatives of local, state, and all agencies.

  • Good communication in English (verbal and written)
