The Merchant Management role drives the overall growth of his/her assigned merchant pipelines. This role will be responsible for Merchant acquisition & growth, target on transaction and user, promotion campaign management and be involved in some functions such as marketing and operations. The role will also work across ZaloPay’s various departments, ensuring the success payment rate for our merchants. Responsibilities: 1. Merchant acquisition
Design and Develop a Merchant Partnership strategy with the collaboration from Strategic team to identifying sufficient opportunities with merchants. From the win-win partnership strategy, ZaloPay will be able to grow up the user base and increase the user penetration in the market.
Deliver partnership proposals (including pricing, payment solution, growth & promotion scheme, etc.) to meet or exceeds Merchant battle’s objectives. Developing and providing the workable payment solution for merchants, continuously optimize to push the ZaloPay penetration.
Lead the negotiation with prospective merchants (from cooperation strategy, cost schemes, contract terms, etc.)
Leverage, cultivate and deepen relationships with key existing and new merchants, leverage networks and nurturing deep understanding of merchant’s business & target users to strengthen institutional relationships and create pathways to new partnership opportunities.
2. Growth responsibility
Defining and implementing the growth plan for the assigned category of merchants with understanding of internal and external variables that influence the business, ensuring alignment with broader ZaloPay business goals and vision.
Develop and optimize strategies and best practices that drive merchant success and growth.
Driving merchant’s engagement and performance through joint business planning and regular business reviews.
Identifying opportunities for process improvements, innovation and scale within the categories.
Track and drive performance for KPIs that include user, transaction and volume.
3. Marketing & Promotion
Plan or give advices to the team for the go-to-market plan & co-marketing plan with merchants to increase the user awareness, make sure merchants are well-prepared for ZaloPay user (POSM, staffs, etc.) aiming to boost the payment transaction & volume as targeted.
Collaborating with Commercial Support team to plan, develop, execute and analyze marketing and promotion campaigns.
Compile, analyze, and present performance metrics and enlighten potential opportunities for growth.
Working with Business Intelligence team to measure and report the results of your promotion campaigns.
4. Daily Operation
Lead market data analysis to address opportunities or business performance issues
Work alongside Operation, BD, Technical and Product teams to develop new payment solution for merchants as well as improve the currents.
At least 5 years of Business Development work experience, give priority to e-Commerce companies, business management industry or consultancy with related experience in partnership management.
