Liaise and partner Merchandising Management and Design to drive materials development & innovation. Ensure the development hitting the individual market needs.
Responsible to maintain and optimize high quality standard of fabrics/trims throughout development and production phases and minimum quality risk.
To work hand in hand with Brands and fabric team in creating new products with new fabrications, technologies or after treatments to ensure products innovations are at the leading edge.
Ensures products are being developed from initial concept through the process are according to the company strategy in sustainability’s roadmap. Manage necessary certification through the process.
Co-ordinate with Brands and Production team to ensure allocation is according to the management’s strategic plan. Ensures product development is in accordance quality, performance, margin requirements and product calendar.
Responsible for costing, ensure product develop to the cost. Negotiate product price with vendors, report pricing and gross profit to Development Head for approval.
Negotiate and execute time and action calendar. Ensure products development meet all planned deadlines, required quality/performance, product specifications, profit margin goals and required garment delivery.
Manage and reserve capacity from Vendors/factories on both samples and bulk capacity. Ensure capacities reserved are enough in executing the business needs and flexible enough to cater for possible market change.
Maintain close and appropriate relationship with all vendors and suppliers, as well as with all peers in both Asia and Headquarters.
Minimum 7 years’ experience in fabric and product’s development.
Degree in textile design, textile engineering or product management.
Good communication skill (in both English and Vietnamese).
Good in fabric technical knowledge & production processes.
Good knowledge on sourcing, manufacturing and costing.
Strong negotiation, organizational, analytical and reporting skills.
