Job Description

1.1. Project Managers should implement their own appropriate to the particular project approaches and best practices while following Project Management procedures and standards

The Project Manager performs a wide range of duties:

Plan the project

1.2. Define the scope of the project in collaboration with Sponsor and PMD Director

1.3. Create a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project

1.4. Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc) required to complete the project

1.5. Develop a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities

1.6. Review the project schedule with Project review Committee; revise the schedule as required

1.7. Together with Sponsor and PMD Director determine the objectives and measures upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion

Staff the project

1.8. In consultation with the appropriate manager, recruit, interview and select staff with appropriate skills for the project activities
1.9. Manage project staff according to the established policies and practices of VPB FC
1.10. Ensure that all project personnel receive an appropriate motivation
1.11. Contract qualified consultants to work on the project as appropriate

Implement the project

1.12. Execute the project according to the project plan

1.13. Conduct project documentation according to Project Management standards

1.14. Monitor the progress of the project and make adjustments as necessary to ensure the successful completion of the project

1.15. Review the quality of the work completed with the project team on a regular basis to ensure that it meets the project standards

Control the project

1.16. Prepare reports on the project for management

1.17. Communicate with sponsor and customers to keep them informed on project progress

1.18. Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures

1.19. Monitor cash flow projections and report actual cash flow and variance to Project Review Committee on a regular basis (monthly/bimonthly)

Evaluate the project

1.20. Ensure that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality

1.21. Evaluate the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase

Job Requirement


  • University Graduation or higher – major: Business management, Economics or technical specialties


  • At least 3 year of working experience in Finance or related field (banking, insurance, investment, etc.) is preferable
  • Min. 3 year of experience in project management/participation in projects


  • Language requirements (Vietnamese – native, English – fluent)
  • Computer skills : proficient in using Microsoft Office applications (Powerpoint, Project)
  • Project management and problem solving skill
  • Good communication and presentation skill
  • Problem solving and negotiable skill
  • Ability to work under high pressure
  • Be able to handle multi-tasks with tight deadline
