The Project Manager (PM)is responsible for the overall management of all key IT projects. The PM ensure that the technical solutions to be developed and implemented are based agreed scope, cost and schedule with the VID business users.
Handle the Planning, Managing, Tracking and Communication of timelines, resources, and scope, and planning across the platform with the stakeholders for change implementations and support operations incidents and maintain reporting and updates in the entire department. Vendor Mgmt. Work directly with the Head of IT
Manage all phases of multiple IT projects from initiation to closure while leveraging best PM practice standards and processes.
Conducts project planning, implementation and monitoring, ensuring that all projects have clear goals, objectives and timelines with measurable milestones that are aligned with VID strategy and goals.
Work with business users, vendors, department heads, business system analysts, application development, infrastructure and testing teams to ensure quality solutions based on agreed scope, cost and schedules in accordance with project objectives.
Participates in IT Business reviews of critical and/or key enterprise IT project portfolio including management communication such as project steering committee presentation and status reports with Department heads and/or executives.
Lead, motivate, support, and coach project team members and peers by providing guidance that is appropriate for their knowledge and skill level.
Champion the PM role by actively promoting learning across the team and contribute to the continuous improvement of the practice with VID
You have a Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or information technology with at least 8 years of relevant experience in Project Management.
Knowledge and/or experience in Insurance or Finance industry is an added advantage.
Knowledge in System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
Knowledge of other Agile approaches, like: Kanban, Crystal, FDD, XP, etc.
Ability to take and understand his commitment to deliver the product on time.
Know about the value of metrics and incremental delivery.
Experienced in project planning, impact analysis and execution of activities related to implementation of business requirements for new or existing systems
Strong communication skills, excellent in English and Vietnamese, both in speaking and writing
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
