Overall purpose of the job: The Retail Manager has full P&L accountability and responsibility for the entire retail business unit of the company, and leads all employees across different functions in this business unit. As our shops are an integral part of our concept, the Retail Manager works closely with F&B Operations Manager and his/her restaurant managers to ensure seamless operations and customer experience. The mission for the Retail Manager is to continue the growth of the retail business unit year-on-year, while maintaining the essence of the L’Usine brand identity as well as her standing as the leading multi-brand concept store in the city.
1. Financial
1.1. Achieve P&L targets in business plan pertaining to revenue, gross profit margin and EBITDA
1.2. Inventory management
1.3. Maintain sell through rate within target
1.4. Risk management
2. Customer
2.1. Serve as the primary contact for VIP customers and all customer complaints in order to immediately carry out personalized service recovery
2.2. To train sales staff on product knowledge, selling techniques and overall customer service steps, including how to deal with difficult situations

3.1. Attract, build and retain talent
3.2. Instill culture and values
3.3. Coach, mentor and lead an effective team
3.4. Identify and develop potential leader and successors
3.5. Conduct performance reviews of direct reports
4. Process
4.1. Develop and maintain SOPs and training materials for:
4.1.1.Daily operations
4.1.2.Inventory management including theft prevention
4.1.3.POS codes and discount management
4.1.4.Customer engagement including VIP handling
4.1.5.Visual merchandising
4.1.6.Store excellence (hygiene and maintenance)
4.1.7.Sales advisor incentives
4.1.8.Develop and maintain balanced scorecards to measure performance
5. New Brands / Product Development
5.1. Source new brands
5.2. Develop and drive own-brand merchandise
6. Marketing and PR
6.1. Develop online and offline strategy including content and communications
6.2. Organize at least 1 event/quarter – book, art, charity, fashion (new brand launch or sales)
