Job Description

Main responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of the Company’s overall risk management strategy; and establish programs, budgets, plans, policies that will achieve these strategic objectives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of risk management programs in achieving strategic objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and establish programs to mitigate the Company’s exposure to financial, operational, or other risks. Areas of risk may include loss prevention, asset protection, credit risk, legal and contractual compliance, health and safety, environmental, and other operational risks.
  • Select, and manage ongoing relationships with insurance providers to minimize insurance costs and ensure the Company receives satisfactory standards of service.
  • Contribute to the development of strategies to obtain optimal insurance coverage for the Company’s assets and liabilities.
  • Manage, monitor, and evaluate the cost effectiveness of all insurance policies across the Company, which may include property and casualty, general and product liability, and directors’ and officers' liability insurance.
  • Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop professional risk management staff to ensure that the Company’s risk exposures are accurately identified and managed.
  • Largely involved in formulating risk management guidelines, policies and short-term strategies as well as setting goals and targets. May also supervise safety and security programs

Job Requirement

Job requirements

  1. Qualification:
  • BSc/BA in Law, Business, Finance or a related field
  • Professional Risk Manager (PRM) certification is a plus
  1. Working Experience:
  • At least 10 year - experience in risk management, including advising real estate law, residential housing law, commercial and corporate law, foreign investment, banking and finance, auditing and reporting procedures.
  • Familiarity with industry compliance standards and regulations (e.g. Occupational Safety and Health Act)
  1. Expertise.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment and control
  • Strong computer and research skills; knowledge of analysis software is preferred (e.g. Statistical Analysis Software, or SPSS)
  • Analytical mind with problem-solving ability.
