Job Description

- Ensure higher quality of product and process output. Ensure the development of skills of the department staff in the area of technology and quality. Ensure active cooperation with suppliers. Lead technological and quality agenda of the department.
Safety, Health and Environment management:
- Contributes to the execution of all the work and activities in the Brewing & Utilities department (related to technological and quality) in accordance with HEINEKEN Safety, Food safety and Sustainability standards.
- Implements HEINEKEN safety standards.
- Contributes in implementing safety improvement activities. Ensures safe sustainable production environment.
Quality of the process and product:
- Leads technological and quality agenda in the department.
- Contributes to the implementation of quality systems and procedures and proposes possible improvements to colleagues and his / her leader. Implement Heineken quality standards.
- Identifies quality risks, proposes and develops local quality procedures and working instructions, in line with applicable quality regulations and the Heineken Rules, Standards and Procedures.
- Structurally prevents quality issues in a specific brewing, malting process phase by cooperating with internal and external parties / stakeholders.
- Ensures technological implementation / requirement of the recipes - OTIF.
TPM and continuous improvement:
- Defines the priorities and losses to be attacked. Initiates and implements the improvement of TPM activities (AM Brewing Pillar / PQ Quality Pillar). Supports the development of the new improved standards. Is a member of a pillar team(s).
- Takes initiatives to improve the AM team in his / her area of responsibility. Cooperates with PQ Quality Pillar.
- Evaluates efficiency and effectiveness of tasks and identifies improvement opportunities taking appropriate corrective or preventive action.
- Actively involved in 5S teams.
Process management:
- Reports any deviation from Heineken brewing process standards (for own area of responsibility).
- Follows / investigates potential improvements and makes effective communication to higher level.
- Contributes to improvement activities of the analyses in his / her area of responsibility and takes appropriate corrective or preventative action.
- Actively contributes / leads execution of the implementation of NPI’s within Brewing department.
Equipment management:
- Knows what are the needed equipment and their performance in order to fulfil the technological expectations.
- Identifies the root cause of the OOS and decides the necessary action to avoid its recurrence.
- Ensures workplace is at the required AM and 5S standards and is actively involved in AM / 5S teams.
- Ensures higher performance of analytical equipment in the department.
Organization and people management:
- Executes the agreed people plans and strategy.
- Collects the data about the Operators. Give the inputs about the individual performance.
- Systematically analyses and improves delivery of technological / quality work by improving existing standards and technician skills of the department staff.
- Trains and supports Operators, regarding technological issues and agenda in the department.
- Contributes to the take-over of responsibilities from Utilities to Brewing department.
Management of information and reporting:
- Collects and processes all needed data in order to create relevant Brewing information / reports (in line with the responsibility).
- Follows all reporting lines within the Brewing department.
- Owns information and data in his / her area and uses reporting data for performance improvement proposals.
Planning and execution:
- Plans and leads basic quality budget of the department.
Suppliers management:
- Collects & manages data & performance and lead communication (in terms of quality) with the suppliers.
- Is actively involved and leads close cooperation with suppliers on problem solving activities.
- Other tasks when requires

Job Requirement

Level of education:
- University degree (Food Technology / Biotechnology).
Experience (including Management Experience):
- > 3 years beverage operation shop floor experience with technological / quality profile.
- Preference for experience in:
• Brewing / Quality of Brewing / Biotechnology / Microbiology in FMSG companies.
• TPM / Lean / 6 Sigma, etc.
English Proficiency:
- Fluently
