Job Description

  • Provides materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving services, supervising staff. Reports directly to Senior Sort Manager.
  • Oversees the staging of inbound trucks and the dispatch of trucks to assigned unload slots bays
  • Ensures that there is a visual Scan of all trucks / vans to ensure that no shipments are left behind
  • Initiates, coordinates operational and personnel policies & procedures to ensure that critical scans are in place.
  • Ensures proper unloading of trucks / vans such that shipments handled with great care.
  • Complies with Regional Sortation Centre’s, material handling requirements by adherence to requirements; provides feedback on truck loading and suggestions for improvements
  • Be present during critical Inbound activities such as staging and Drivers’ arrival at Sortation Centres.
  • Monitor the quality shipments received and the labelling process. Identify problems and monitor productivity
  • Enforces handover scans by Inbound Team for shipments received from Drivers and reconciling as needed.
  • Ensures main belt feeding processes are followed and makes sense
  • Maintains physical condition of assigned IB area by daily dynamic planning, inspecting equipment; arranging for maintenance and repairs and/or requisitions for replacement.
  • Schedules and performs regular review of assigned employees/resources for daily activi-ties and ad-hoc surges.
  • Maintains Inbound staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Conducts daily briefing to team members on the issues for that particular day;
  • Inspires and leads Inbound Staff.

Job Requirement

  • Experience at a Supervisory Level, Safety Management, Developing Standards and Managing Processes,
  • Good understanding of B2C end-to-end processes is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to manage large groups of people, coach teach and inspired
  • Ability to handle motorised MHEs e.g. Electric pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. is preferred
  • Able to contribute to Process Improvement Discussions
