We are in search of a results-driven Assistant GM of Strategy with 5 to 7 years of experience in planning and strategy development, particularly within the food industry. This role will actively contribute to shaping and executing strategic initiatives for our organization while also welcoming candidates with experience in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Director of Strategy to develop and refine the company's strategic plans, with a specific focus on the food industry, ensuring alignment with sector-specific trends and market dynamics.
2. Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis within the food industry to identify opportunities and threats, providing valuable insights for informed decision-making.
3. Business Performance: Monitor and evaluate the performance of existing strategies in the food sector, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
4. Commercial Efforts: Drive the development of commercial strategies tailored to the food industry, including pricing, product positioning, and market entry, to enhance our competitiveness.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including Marketing, Sales, and Product Development, to ensure the successful execution of food industry-specific strategic initiatives.
6. Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data analytics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of strategies within the food sector and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
7. Strategic Communication: Assist in the preparation of strategic reports and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key findings and recommendations within the food industry context.
8. Trend Forecasting: Stay updated on food industry trends, emerging consumer preferences, and market dynamics to proactively identify strategic opportunities and threats.

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or a related field. An advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) is a plus.
2. 5 to 7 years of experience in strategic planning and development or business consultant, with a strong focus on the food industry. Candidates with food business and/or FMCG experience are also encouraged to apply.
3. Proven track record of contributing to the development and execution of successful commercial strategies within the food business/brand/sector.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights, particularly in the context of the food industry.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
6. Agile and collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
7. A strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to identify and capitalize on food industry-specific market opportunities.
8. Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
