Credit cards business now has a host of new products – for example PLUS card, Gold PLUS card, new payment schemes like VISA, JCB etc, host of new features such as Selfie Plus, Everyday Rewards PLUS and ongoing cardholder promotions through platforms like Easy Pay, and Easy Life. To take the card business to next level, it is important to expand the product suite being offered to our customers and accordingly this is one of the important roles in the Cards business under Cobrands Cards, Partnerships & Lead Generation Team Leader. The incumbent in the role, under direct supervision of Cobrands Cards, Partnerships & Lead Generation Team Leader, has the responsibility to conceptualize & grow cobranded and affinity card business. The role primarily requires the incumbent to come up with new cobranded card propositions and also look for new partners whose target market is similar to VPB FC and then build a compelling card proposition. The job holder is also responsible for developing new acquisition channel in liaison with cobrand partner. The job holder will assist Cobrands Cards, Partnerships & Lead Generation Team Leader to drive key metrics of cobranded and affinity card portfolio
Internal: Risk, Operations, Technology, Customer Service, Sales and Finance - Rolling out new products & propositions, chalking out and executing portfolio optimization strategies, driving spends & usage for the overall portfolio cobranded and affinity card portfolio.
External: Large E-com retailers, TELCOs, Loyalty and fulfilment vendors, Outsourced technology providers etc - To forge strategic alliances to grow card sourcing, improve acquisition and usage programs & processes as well as to launch cobranded and affinity card through partnership channels.
Develop new cobranded and affinity card through partnership channels and propositions and continuously keep an eye on competitive activity in the market in credit card space. Contribute significantly to achieve ambitious target.
Identify new partners whose target market is similar to VPB FC and then build a strong value proposition for a cobranded card for pitching it to the proposed cobranded card partner.
Develop new acquisition channel in liaison with cobrand partner.
Drive credit card usage programs which could be but not limited to event linked promotions, special benefits, new benefit platforms – dining discounts, special priced electronics on an end to end basis including concept, execution and fulfillment
Improve the sales process and sales productivity of sales channel sourcing cobranded card.
Launch digital acquisition, usage and rewards program in line with the emerging technological as well as card holder segment’s behavioral trends

Post graduate in Business Administration/ Marketing/Banking Finance or relevant majors with good track record.
A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in Banking and Financial industry with a strong background in cards and payment industry. Prior experience in managing cobranded card portfolio and partnerships is very highly desirable. Prior experience in large MNC banks such as Citibank, HSBC, Standard Chartered, ANZ etc is a real big plus.
Very good knowledge of payments and cards business, have a very good understanding of card business financials, cobranded card dynamics (both in terms of customer behavior and cobrand partner behavior), should have experience in working with cross functional teams.
Strong business acumen, a skilled people manager, highly skilled in relationship management.
