The HSE Supervisor has to coordinate the Health & Safety network for the Company, support the development of Health & Safety mindset addressing 3 major areas: site conditions, procedures and behavior. Lead safety and promote best practices, provide the technical HSE support to the site in order to ensure the safe delivery of the day, compliance with the organization’s standards, good industry practices and local legislative requirements where applicable.
He/she will drive the HSE performance improvement of the plant/facility within his/her area of responsibility. This includes visible personal leadership on HSE matters, setting of standards, regular reviews of performance and implementing improvements where required.
II. Responsibilities and key activities:
Support the QHSE Manager and team with planning, coordinating and implementing of effective HSE policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure that the department objectives are met.
Support the QHSE Manager in ensuring HSE compliance and perform regular HSE audits in the areas of business and manufacturing operations.
Provide support to relevant team in all aspects of safety, occupational health, safety and environmental issues.
Attend pre-job, planning and client meetings as required on HSE related matters.
Provide support to the dept on the implementation of company-wide HSE initiatives eg. ISO 14001, ISO 45001, etc.
Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well as client requirements.
Ensure training, tool box meetings, and drills are implemented as part of the company’s training and HSE program, i.e., emergency response systems, etc.
Investigate and complete the process for close out of all Accident Investigation Reports and prepare/submit lessons learned to the HSE Manager for promulgation to the management.
Manage Safety Statistic reporting. Track and provide regular HSE performance reporting to the Dept head.
Assist in the development of project specific HSE procedures.
Conduct HSE trainings and orientation to all new employees.
Ensure all worksites are HSE compliant with Company policies and safety standards.
Support HSE personnel in the development of work site HSE campaigns and good practices.
Assist in ad-hoc HSE tasks/projects as required.
III. Relationships:
Report directly to the QHSE Manager.
Maintain the relationship with stakeholders and local authorities.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Safety or in a related field of study.
Computer proficiency in current versions of Windows, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Language: Good command of the English language and able to communicate effectively in written and spoken forms.
Experiences:
At least 03 years experience in Manufacturing/HSE or in the same role.
Knowledge of plywood/wood production is a plus.
Experience in a multi-task environment.
Demonstrable experience with ISO 14001. Knowledge of ISO 45001 is a plus.
First aid, CPR and AED trainer is a plus.
