As the Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in the rapid growth of Global Sources as you:

  • Plan, develop and implement comprehensive show & exhibition marketing strategies and campaigns, ensuring these are aligned to, and evolve with, market and customer requirements
  • Lead the show operations/marketing teams to ensure it is motivated and trained to achieve high-performance targets
  • Be responsible for strategy through execution to build quality visitor database, maximize show traffic and achieve attendee targets
  • Deploy integrated multi-channel marketing campaigns, both online and offline, in the formats of website, eDM, pDM, advertising, third-party promotional activity, buyer communities, data-driven programmes, to meet pre-show registration and attendee conversion
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with central marketing, sales, project, strategy and commercial team to ensure strategy alignment and effective execution
  • Work with central marketing on tracking and regular reporting of progress in the form of marketing metrics and campaign performance, with a strong emphasis on identifying actions/optimization based on data-derived insight.
  • Manage external agency partners to ensure effective briefing, efficient processes and clear targets & timelines to generate desired outcomes
  • Develop and manageVIP buying office and affiliate partners in Vietnam, and work with central marketing team to meet High Touch marketing objectives
  • Develop and manage content and implement activities using online platform & physical events to build engagements between exhibitors and buyers pre-show and onsite
  • Be ahead of the trend curve with ways of marketing and latest industry phenomenon to adapt to the right marketing mix
  • Manage and monitor budgets, provide accurate forecasts for planning purposes
  • Promote a culture of analytical thinking, active learning and continuous improvement

What makes you a great fit:

The ideal candidate will bring several qualities to the team, including:        

  1. Education: Bachelor’s degree or above is required, with preference to a degree in Marketing, Advertising, Mass Communication, Business or other equivalent fields
  2. Experience & Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of marketing experience in the show & exhibition industry, with multi-channel campaign marketing experience in international markets
  • At least 3 years in similar role and experience in people management
  • A proven track record of implementing successful marketing campaigns - ideally for large scale B2B industry shows and exhibitions
  • Proven experience of, and demonstrated aptitude for, all aspects of digital marketing including CRM & marketing automation (ideally Oracle Eloqua), email & mobile, social media, websites, search and online advertising
  • Results and data-oriented, able to clearly demonstrate success via proven metrics, plus project management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Proactive can-do attitude to take prompt action to accomplish objectives and goals beyond what is required, with the energy and tenacity to overcome challenges effectively
  • Excellent influencing and negotiating skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office is required. Digital savvy is a plus.
  • Fluent in verbal and written communications skills with high attention to detail in both English and Vietnamese
