Credit cards business now has a host of new products – for example PLUS card, Gold PLUS card, new payment schemes like VISA, JCB etc, host of new features such as Selfie Plus, Everyday Rewards PLUS and ongoing cardholder promotions through platforms like Easy Pay and Easy Life. To take the Card business to next level, it is important to expand the product suite being offered to our customers and accordingly this is one of the critical roles in the Cards business.
Internal: Risk, Operations, Technology, Customer Service, Sales and Finance
Rolling out new products & propositions, chalking out and executing portfolio optimization strategies, driving spends & usage for the overall cobranded, affinity premium and new segment card portfolio.
External: Large E-com retailers, TELCOs, Loyalty and fulfilment vendors , Outsourced technology providers etc.
To forge strategic alliances to grow card sourcing, improve acquisition and usage programs & processes as well as to launch cobranded credit cards. To forge strategic alliances to develop and grow New Segment cards (such as lady card, grocery card et al), improve acquisition and develop usage programs & processes.
Develop new cobranded card propositions. Scout new partners whose target market is similar to VPB FC and then build a strong value proposition for a cobranded card. Contribute significantly to achieve ambitious target of card business.
Develop new acquisition channel in liaison with cobrand partner. Explore and work out new propositions for niche segments and then launch the new card.
Create and implement Customer Life Cycle Management programs for ensuring optimal profitability of the cobranded and affinity cards portfolio in terms of usage, loyalty and retention.
Drive credit card usage programs which could be but not limited to event linked promotions, special benefits, new benefit platforms – dining discounts, special priced electronics on an end to end basis including concept, execution and fulfillment.
Regularly engage with Risk to ensure that there are appropriate policy covers, tests etc. to provide the right risk reward framework for the product. To work closely with Business Planning & Analysis function and BIU to identify the right target and to create the right pricing mechanisms based on risk adjusted yield objectives around fees and APR.
Launch digital acquisition, usage and rewards program in line with the emerging technological as well as card holder segment’s behavioral trends. Track competition and maintain the product edge by continuously improving product features and benefits.

Post graduate in Business with a strong track record.
A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cards and payment industry.
Prior experience in managing cobranded cards product and portfolio is very highly desirable.
Prior experience in large MNC banks or in large local banks is very highly preferred.
Deep and specialized knowledge of payments and cards business
Have an in-depth understanding of cobranded card business dynamics as well as overall card business financials, consumer preferences in mass market as well as mid to high card segment
Should have experience in working with cross functional teams

Strong business acumen, a skilled people manager, highly skilled in relationship management.
